Vitruvian Park Courtyards

The 112-acre mixed use Vitruvian Park demonstrates techniques in High Performance Planning, Landscape Architecture and Water Conservation™ that have been pioneered by Kevin Sloan Studio. To aid the economic success of the first phases, the first two blocks of The Savoye were programmed with amenities so, taken together with the 17-acre public park, they transform the life of the housing into a resort-like environment. Kevin Sloan Studio did the planning, zoning and design of the public park for UDR. A water table transforms a fountain into a social condenser in one courtyard. In another, a canopy shaded pool is scaled for residents to easily converse from one side to the other and when combined with a second plunge pool offers choices for residents to meet in groups.
