Sprint World Headquarter Campus
After nearly 15 years, the 212-acre, Sprint World Headquarters Campus in Kansas City has never bought a single gallon of municipal water for irrigation, saving over $4 million.
The mixed-use office space is prioritized into concentric landscape zones that proceed from naturalizing sustainable ecologies at the perimeter to the habitable landscape, which is organized into seven garden quadrangles. The fountains recirculate the non-potable water of the wetlands to improve water quality. The quadrangle paving is recycled historic brick of the decommissioned Kansas City stockyards. The project was a 2012 ASLA Award of Excellence winner.
