Sprint Wetlands

Seventeen acres at the low point of the 212-acre Sprint World Headquarters Campus is a designed wetland that establishes habitat, environmental compliance and as the irrigation source for seven garden quadrangles. To resist drought and serve as an irrigation reservoir, regional weather patterns were exhaustively analyzed by Kevin Sloan Studio to determine the size, capacity and the organization into three cells of different depths. After twelve years the campus has not needed to buy a single gallon of water for irrigation preserving over $4 million. The wetland cost $375,000 to construct.
