Private Residence, Dallas, Texas
The assignment was to add a water element to the backyard of an existing house in Dallas, Texas and reconsider the perimeter garden plantings. The fountain is designed with a continuous weir made of two stainless steel edge plates separated by a 3/8’ slot and set flush with grade. Slow circulation keeps the water level precisely at the level of the continuous edge. Perceptions of the edgeless fountain are heightened since the form suggests a lap pool that is without any means to contain the activity and wave action.
