Museum of American Architecture

In lieu of a proposing a terrestrial building at Saarinen's St. Louis arch, the program for a museum is reproposed as a contemporary river tow. By utilizing the Mississippi, the museum collection and the lecture series of a resident fellow tours the river cities. The logistics of the Mississippi locks constrain the building dimensions, length and the programmatic sequence of arrangment.  The proposal was awarded second place in the 2000 Steedman competition.
